Project Description:
At the time the EPCI contract was signed, the Murphy Kikeh deepwater field was considered to be the deepest water field development in South East Asia, and the first Spar application outside the Gulf of Mexico.

ODL Scope of Work:
ODL Developed the configuration design and designed and analyzed the complete mooring system of the Drilling Semi Submersible and the Kikeh Spar.

Key Details:

  • Developed Configuration Design for Dry Tree Unit Spar, Ocean Rover Semi, and an FPSO connected by a 2km pipeline;
  • Re-Engineered the mooring lines for the Ocean Rover TAD;
  • Detailed Engineering of 4 production risers for the Dry Tree Unit Spar;
  • Participated in the Kikeh Spar Twin Barge Float-Over installation conceptual development;
  • Provided a survival and drilling operation analysis investigating the tensions of rig mooring line system and lashing system.
