Vyborg SSFDR Topside Float-over

Project Description:
Dockwise was awarded by Vyborg Shipyard to transport two topsides structures from Korea to the Barents Sea and to install the topsides on Semi-submersible floating drilling rig (SSFDR)hull. The platforms are located in the arctic conditions of Shtokman field,600km offshore Murmansk.

ODL Scope of Work:
ODL performed the detailed float-over engineering analysis of the 22,000 tons SSFDR Topside.

Key Details:
Topside Load-out analysis;
Topside Transportation analysis;
Topside Float-over installation engineering analysis including standoff, entry ,mating and exit phases
Detailed outfitting design
Mooring system design for SSFDR Hull for topside installation purpose;
Design and analysis of sway fender

A milestone project in Dockwise’hostory. Big scale of topside, long distance of transport and climactic conditions are the extreme challenges.
