The Scope included the configuration design and detailed engineering of the T&I of the WHP, assistance with the procurement of all equipment and resources, the proposal detailing the modification of the deck and the jacket during the float-over installation, inspection and modification of the installation barges and offshore installation supervision.

Key Details:

  • Configured and developed the first pontoon barge float-over installation method in open sea.
  •
Used temporary piles to moor the transportation and installation barges instead of mooring lines.
  •
Utilized a large percentage of local Venezuelan content.

  • The project cost was significantly lower than originally budgeted.

The float-over operation only took about 2 hours from the start of the operation to the mating of the deck legs with the jacket topside.
